Automated Export System Enforcement

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that penalties will be imposed beginning February 1, 2009 for failure to comply with the U.S. Bureau of Census’ mandatory AES regulations.

"K" Line may be penalized for loading non-compliant cargo, therefore, cargo that is missing the proof of filing citation, exemption or exception legend by the established cut-off will be rolled. Cargo that is on-dock and rolls due to late or missing proof of filing citation or exemption legend will be subject to a $200 administration fee plus all associated charges as per applicable tariff.

Please review your booking confirmation for the AES/Documentation Cut-Off. Please submit documentation with proof of filing citation or exemption legend via e-mail or fax. Please send by one method only to avoid duplication of data.
