"K" Line and MOL Upgrade Container Service between Asia-Mexico/West Coast South America

November 16, 2007 -KAWASAKI KISEN KAISHA, LTD. ("K" Line, President: Hiroyuki Maekawa) and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today announced that the Asia-Mexico/West Coast South America container service called “New ANDES” will improve port coverage by adding direct calls at Qingdao , whose hinterland in Shandong province is regarded to have the highest potentiality of growth in North China in terms of export cargo production, import cargo processing and local consumption. This weekly direct calling at Qingdao is a unique service in this trade.
