"K" Line Launches Asia - Black Sea Service

August 27, 2007 - Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" Line) is pleased to announce that we will launch a new container service between Asia and Black Sea, in partnership with Yang Ming, China Shipping and ZIM.

Commencing middle of September, the new service will deploy seven vessels capable of loading 4000 TEU on a fixed-day weekly frequency.

The port rotation will be as follows:

Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Nansha – Port Kelang – Istanbul – Constanza – Ilyichevsk – (Shanghai)

"K" Line will provide one vessel to the service with China Shipping, Yang Ming and ZIM providing the other six vessels.

"K" Line is currently providing its own feeder service between Port Said, Egypt, and Black Sea ports called “BSX (Black Sea Express).” This new product of direct service between Asia and Black Sea will further enhance "K" Line's global service network in this fast growing market and cater to the growing demand of our customers.
