On April 6th, at the Toyota Logistics Services, Inc. annual Logistics Partners´ Meeting held in Newport Beach, California, "K" Line was honored as the best import marine carrier of Toyota vehicles to the North American market during 2010.
On hand to accept the awards on behalf of "K" Line was Mr. S. Itaya, managing executive officer, "K" Line Tokyo. The award presentations were made by several Toyota dignitaries, including Mr. Don Esmond, group vice president, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.; Mr. S. Sugawara, group vice president, Toyota Logistics Services, Inc.; and Ms. Nancy Davies, vice president, Toyota Logistics Services, Inc.
The Toyota Logistics Excellence Awards are presented each year by Toyota Logistics Services, Inc., the logistics arm of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., to the top performing logistics partners handling Toyota vehicles in North America.
These awards are given to logistics partners in the fields of Import Marine Transportation, Export Marine Transportation, Rail, and Haul-Away (Trucking) in recognition of their excellent service in the areas of Quality, Customer Service, and Outstanding Achievement. Only one recipient in each field wins the coveted "President´s Award."
It is with great honor that "K" Line accepts these awards. A special thank you goes out to all offices and personnel on both sides of the Pacific, as well as the officers and crew on "K" Line ships at sea involved with the carriage of Toyota vehicles to North America.
