Effective beginning with the Hoegh Dubai voyage 9, currently schedule to depart Port Hueneme on May 30, 2013, "K" Line America will begin using cargo measurements recorded by Port Hueneme after the cargo has been received. This is a change from the current process of using the measurements that are provided on the dock receipt.
The port will measure your cargo and provide "K" Line with the measurements at least two days prior to the vessel’s scheduled sail date. At that time you will receive the stow dim report which will notify you of the measurements that "K" Line will use to rate your bill of lading.
The dock receipt will still be required at the time of delivery and the date of delivery will be recorded in "K" Line’s systems.
