Providing High-Quality Service for Upgrade of Customer Satisfaction
Containership transportation requires stable service in keeping with recent global trade increases. To insure highest-quality and competitive service that meets customer satisfaction, we continuously carry out a wide range of improvements that include re-arranging/strengthening our fleet with today's most sophisticated ships, optimization of port calls, increasing service frequency, shortening of transit time, etc.
Strengthening of the CKYH Alliance
CKYH Alliance dates back to 2001,
its members being COSCO Container Lines, "K" Line, Yang Ming
Marine Transport Corp. and Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd. Under this Alliance, strenuous efforts are
constantly under way to upgrade quality of service. Cooperative efforts have been concentrated
for optimal deployment of each party's fleet and reinforcement of service loops in response to
customer needs, not only in East/West trunk lines (Asia/No. America, Asia/No. Europe, Mediterranean and Atlantic),
but in all service routes. In addition, we are involved in securing our own terminals in major ports worldwide,
also making our feeder service network more complete.
Arrangement & Reinforcement of Fleet with Updated & Sophisticated Ships
Four new 8,000teu containerships having entered into service from 2008 to 2009 to cope with increasing global cargo movements, three new 6,400teu and twelve new 4500teu are being delivered and deployed to services in 2010-11. Our plan includes five more 8,000teu containerships in 2012.
We are continuously executing new plans for further improvement of service quality that increases our global competitiveness not only in major East/West trunk lines but also in South/North and Intra-Asia service routes where cargo is also on the increase.
