CKYH Alliance – Change of calling ports on US East Coast for AWE-5

June 30, 2006 - The CKYH Alliance (COSCON, “K” Line, Yang Ming Line and Hanjin Shipping) announced launch of the 5th service (AWE-5) between Asia and US East Coast ports on April 26th, 2006.

We would like to now announce change in calling ports on the US East Coast for AWE-5. Original plan was Savannah - Miami - Houston, and that is now changed to Savannah – Charleston – Norfolk – Miami.

The 5 th All Water service will provide direct call in Miami from Asia and the shortest transit time (22 days) from Shanghai to Savannah in the industry. Also frequency to Charleston and Norfolk will increase among CKYH All Water loops.

Port rotation in Asia remains unchanged, Hong Kong – Yantian – Shanghai – Ningbo. The first vessel, “K” Line's M/V “Barcelona Bridge” for AWE-5, will be deployed into the service in Hong Kong on July 5 th .

AWE-5 Schedule:
Hong Kong (Wed-Thu) – Yantian (Thu-Fri) – Shanghai (Sun-Mon) – Ningbo (Mon-Tue) – Savannah (Tue-Wed) – Charleston (Thu-Thu) – Norfolk (Sat-Sat) – Miami (Mon-Tue) – Hong Kong.
