“K” Line, Hanjin and Yang Ming
Revamp East Coast South America – US East Coast Service

April 25, 2008 - Tokyo, Japan. “K” Line, Hanjin and Yang Ming will revamp their East Coast South America - US East Coast service through cooperation with CSAV.

“ECAS” service which is currently operated by the three lines, together with Hyundai, will be discontinued and instead, as from May 2008, “K” Line, Hanjin and Yang Ming will deploy one 2500TEU vessel in “USATLAN” service presently operated by CSAV with 5 x 2500TEU vessels. The last sailing of ECAS will be M/V “Port Said” V.20 S/N – ETA Santos May 5th 2008.

Calling ports of the new service will be as following:

New York – Baltimore – Norfolk – Charleston – Sao Francisco do Sul – Santos –
Rio de Janeiro – Salvador – New York

With wider port coverage of the new service, the lines will continue to offer high quality service to their individual customers.
