COSCON, “K” Line and Yang Ming (CKY)
Reorganization of Mediterranean / US East Coast Service

August 2, 2007 - COSCON, “K” Line and Yang Ming Line will introduce a new Mediterranean/U.S. East Coast Service effective from September, 2007 through the new cooperation scheme with MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A.).

This new service named TAS-6 covering the areas from the Mediterranean to the U.S. East Coast and will replace current TAS-3 service which is jointly operated by CKY's 4x1700TEU type vessels.

By revamping this service, CKY is to maintain the high quality service in transatlantic market together with other CKYH's service loops.

The port rotation will be as follows :

Valencia – Naples – La Spezia – New York – Norfolk – Charleston – Valencia

This new scheme is subject to approval by all regulatory bodies.
