Booking Request Form Instructions
Booking requests are now available on-line via "K" Line's Internet
site at www.kline.com. A form has been
developed to assist customers with providing the information necessary to submit a
complete booking request. If you have not used this form before, please review the
instructions below before going to the Booking Request Form. If you have any

The Booking Request Form will place a booking request by sending the information
you enter directly to Customer Service. Once reviewed for accuracy and all
required details, a confirmation with your booking number will be returned to you in the
format you select on the booking request form.
For BULK bookings, please call our International office in New York at (212) 447-1947. These bookings cannot be entered through this form.

Entering Information: Use the keyboard to type the information requested then press the Tab Key or Enter Key to move to the next field. To move ahead
several fields press the Tab Key several times or reposition your mouse
in the next field to be entered and click the left mouse button.
Moving around fields: To move around fields on the form you can use your mouse and move to the field,
then click with the left mouse button. To move from field to field in order you
can use the Tab Key or Enter Key on your keyboard. To return to a previous field,
use your mouse to move to that field and click the left mouse button or
use Shift + Tab (back tab) to return to the field immediatly preceeding the one
you are currently in.
Required Fields: Many of the fields on the Booking Request form are required for "K" Line
to confirm your booking. These fields are highlighted in red and should be filled in
before submitting your request. If the required fields are missing you will be
prompted to enter them one at a time before the form is actually submitted. After
filling in the missing field information, you can press enter or select one of the
"Resubmit Booking" buttons to resubmit the form information.
In addition to the required fields that the form requires for submission, there are optional
required fields that are only required if other choices are selected. These include: Supplier fields are required if this is a "door" booking; Hazardous
Information fields are required if this is Hazardous Cargo; and Temperature and Vent settings are required if the request includes Refrigerated Cargo.
While the form will submit without these fields, the booking request will be delayed
while "K" Line attempts to obtain the required information.
Printing a copy of your Booking Request: After submitting your information, you can print a copy of your booking request by using the
print button at the bottom of your Booking Confirmation page. You can also print your
information before submitting by using the print capability of your browser. To access your
browser's print capability, right click in the form and select print from the popup menu.
Confirmation Page: If all required information has been input, the Confirmation Page, with the title
"Thank you, [Your Name], for Booking with "K" Line" will appear
right after you submit the form. This is when the information is sent to the
Customer Service Department. To go back to a blank Booking Request Form page,
go to the bottom of the Confirmation Page and click on "Return to the Form.
Hazadous Cargo Requirements: If you answer Yes to the question " Hazardous Cargo?:", you MUST enter the
required Hazardous Cargo Information at the bottom of the Booking Request form. You can
elect to go to that portion of the form immediately or you can wait until you have
entered the remaining Booking Request information and enter the information before
selecting the Submit key. If this information is
not entered, your Booking Request will be delayed while "K" Line contacts you
for that information.
