“K” Line Honored as Lowe's Inaugural Ocean Carrier of the Year

Lowe's Companies, Inc. has presented its first ever Ocean Carrier of the Year Award to Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line) for 2006. The competition for this award included seven other well-known, high-profile ocean carriers. The award was presented at Lowe's annual International Trade Meeting on July 19, 2007.

This award was presented to the carrier who met the highest criteria for customer service, equipment availability, vessel space support, dispatch correctness, EDI capabilities and correctness, along with general perception of the ocean carrier by the suppliers in Asia . For 2006, “K” Line met that criteria better than any other carrier. Significantly, “K” Line achieved an average above 98% on EDI correctness.

Ray McDermott, Butch Crane, and Michael Cuomo, all of “K” Line America, Inc., accepted the award on behalf of the company.
